Dear Colleagues,
There's so much burgeoning information in the vital area of cooperation in education that no one can possibly keep up by themselves. Thus, I look forward to each issue of the IASCE Newsletter as a chance to be inspired by and learn from the exciting things that others are doing, and as an opportunity to contact those with whom I might have a particular common interest among the many threads that cooperation in education spins.

I hope you will please also take advantage of the newsletter as a tool for networking. To promote this networking, we try to include URLs and e-mail addresses. You can further promote this networking by sending in news of what you do and see that is relevant to the newsletter. For instance, if you attend a conference, please send in abstracts of presentations on cooperative learning and related topics, and also try to get the presenters' e-mail addresses. You can send such information to me at gmjacobs@pacific.net.sq, and I'll pass it on to whoever is editing the upcoming issues of the newsletter.

Thanks. Now, here is the table of contents for this issue.
