CONFERENCES AND WORKSHOPS

International Education and Cooperative Learning is the title of an interactive, intercultural conference organized by IAIE; The Centre for Intercultural Education, University of Gent, Belgium; Uppsala University In-service Training Department, Sweden, and The University of Kristianstad, Sweden. It will be held in Gent, Belgium between May 13-16, 2000. The conference will examine issues of dissemination and implementation after five years of the successful Cooperative Learning in Intercultural Education Project. CLIP is a collaborative project of the Complex Instruction team at Stanford University and the International Association for Intercultural Education (IAIE).

Kagan Cooperative Learning is offering Kagan Disney Academies in Orlando, Florida, and in Anaheim, California. This summer the Academies will be expanded to include one-day pre-conference workshops and mini conferences, in addition to the traditional week-long institutes. Participants can still attend a week-long institute, but they experience a new topic for a day or two in addition to the institute. The Orlando, FL, Academy will run from July 8-July 21, 2000, at the Contemporary Hotel. The Anaheim, CA, Academy will run from July 29-August 11, 2000, at the Disneyland Hotel.
